How Many Hours Do You Need To Be A Hair Dresser?

    You would have to check with the Cosmetology board for your area. Different states and countries require different hours.
      Such as; Florida requires 1200 hours, and California requires 1600.

      The cosmetology department at my career center was a 2 yr course(2 school years) 4 hours a day for the 9 months they were in school.. So i would say your looking at close to 1200 hours just to learn the basics and then you have the special training for the new hair implants,weaves,new styles,chemical treatments.and then you have to test for your license/permit in order to work in a salon.admissionsuccess.endlex.com
