    Pitbull Has Black Tary But Still A Little Thick Stool. He Is About 7 Weeks Old. His Stool Was Fine Until I Took Him To A Near By Dog Park Two Days Ago. Whats Wrong

    Pitbull has black tary but still a little thick stool. He is about 7 weeks old. I gave him a 7 in one shot from the live stock store. The shot contained vaccines for parvo as well. I gave this to him at 6 weeks old and his previous owner said he had a deworming. He eats and as he has previously. I have an older pitbull who he wrestles with him or a regular and he seams okay activity wise. His stool was fine until i took him to a near by dog park two days ago. Whats wrong????

    The black tar stool you are describing sounds very much like there is blood in the stool.  I'm pretty sure that parvo does not set in until about 5 days so if you just took your pup to the dark park it sounds like it would be too early for him to have symptoms.  Have you tried switching him to a rice based diet to help his stomach?  I'd take him to the vet.  He is so young and it's better to be safe than sorry.

      Thanks, I feel better knowing it isn't parvo. I will give him some rice with his meals and see how that works out. I wont be able to take him to the vet until next week. I checked it when I got home yesterday and it is starting to get a little brownish color to it.
