    The term geographical is used to mean of or pertaining to the science of geography. It could also mean determined by geography. It is a synonym for the term geographic. It is an adjective meaning relating to the topography of a particular region.

    The adverb form of the word geographical is the term geographically. The term geographical may be used in reference to the measurement as well as the description of the earth's surface. It also refers to spatial studies of human activity.

    Some of the traditional areas of study of geography are topics like place names, topography and cartography. Some of the more recent areas of study include global positioning, remote sensing, spatial studies and geographical information systems.  This term may be applied in a number of disciplines.
