Griff Rhys Jones, is considered one of Britain's most famous comedians and actors. He shot to fame with all the British sketch comedies that he performed with counterparts Mel Smith, Rowan Atkinson and others.
Griff Rhys Jones was born on the 16th of November in 1953. Most of Jones' schooling was completed in Essex. His friends at school included, writer Douglas Adams, whom he also accompanied to Cambridge University. It was here that Jones cultivated an active interest in theatre; especially comedy. He made several appearances in a number of comedy shows along side Clive Anderson and also went on to produce 'Atkinson's People' which was aired on BBC.
Jones later starred in 'The Not in the Nine O'clock' News, a very popular English political comedy, with some of Britain's most famous comedians. He has also bagged many awards for his witty and satirical performances, and has recently been working on the BBC show, Restoration.
