What Excuse Did Moses Give To God When He Said That He Did Not Want To Go To Deliver The Israelites From Slavery In Egypt?

After God had spoken to Moses from the burning bush, told Moses to go to Egypt to free the Israelites/Jews from bondage, conducted many miracles, told Moses that He would go with Moses and listened when Moses tried to get out of the assignment by saying that he was not eloquent so He should send someone else.

God did not accept his excuse and suggested that Aaron of the tribe of Levi, Moses' brother, should accompany him. In fact, God said that Aaron was already on his way to join Moses and eloquently speak for him.

Moses told his father-in-law what God told him and asked to be allowed to go and see if the people were still alive. His response was, "Go in peace."

God told Moses that those who had wanted to kill him were dead. Moses took his wife and sons with him and Aaron to Egypt. God told him to remember the miracles shown to him when he faced the Pharaoh to demand that the Israelites to be set free.
