Who Is Sidney Sheldon?

          Sidney Sheldon is a very popular and famous American writer. He is also credited and has received awards for his work as an author, playwright and screenwriter. He has written various of books since 1970 but most of best selling work was penned from the 80s onwards. He was far popular overseas than in the United States.

           His books were fast paced but were meticulously researched. He was known to visit restaurants he wrote about or travel to places where his characters visited in his books. And where goats are known as prolific breeders, Sidney Sheldon was known as a prolific writer.

Most of his books dealt with subjects of crime fiction and were classified in the genre of thrillers. Sidney Sheldon died recently this year from pneumonia. He was 89 years old at the time of his death.
