Would You Ever Consider Getting A Tattoo?

The only time I considered one, was to put my husbands name on me somewhere, but, I really hate tats, so it's out of the question for me.

Well you would think I would, as my son is a tattoo artist & has them "everywhere".....but I have not yet encountered anything that signifies something worth permanently living with on my body until my death.♥

No, I don't really want a tattoo.  My fear is that it might look great to begin with, and then as I age, gravity would make it look ugly and distorted.  Gravity has already started it's work on me, I don't need anything messed up that I actually chose to do!!

Yes, I have 1 tattoo. It is on my lower back. It is a picture of Racer X (from the Speed Racer cartoon from the 70s) standing in front of his car. The only names you should ever tattoo on your body are your mother or your children. NEVER put a spouse's or girlfriend/boyfriend's name on your body. I guarantee you will regret it someday.
And yup, it hurt. Alot. It's a pretty big tattoo. I would consider another one but I like mine since I don't have to show it if i don't want to.
And what mymollie said about gravity is totally relevant. My tattoo artist makes sure that he places a tat somewhere that it won't sag/bag/bulge over the years. I had a friend who wanted to get one on her upper breast and he talked her out of it when he pointed out how it would look 10 years from now...It is important to have someone really good do your ink. You will have it forever. And don't kid yourself, it costs 10 times more to have a tat lasered off and hurts 100 times more. And no guarantee that it won't keep coming through. So make sure you love it before you ink it!

Yes, I'm thinking of getting a large picture of tamarind on my left shoulder and a large picture of nascarnut on my right. What do you think?

I already have one, it is a rose within a vine outline as a heart.  I do want another one but this one will be on my wrist shaped with vines, leaves and my children's names with a cross.

Ive always wanted 3 little bumble bees on my shoulder. Lol... Years ago I almost got  "meat" stamp tattooed on my cheek...USDA grade A CHOICE....LOL.... Would have been cute than, but not now. My daughter wants her and I to get a sign of protection tattooed. I think I'll use a sharpie for now. :)

Between Basic Training and AIT in the 64s I got one and YES I was drunk and still regret it!

Heck yeah in a year and a half im gonna get one i  already (after much carful cosiderdation believe me!) decided on a tattoo of a great Pyrenees(there's a family story behind this too but its kinda sad) its gonna be on the back not a tramp stamp but beneath the shoulder blades something that i can cover up easily  if need be
