    Atomic no. Of phosphorus = 15
    i.e. No. Of protons = 15
    mass no. = 31
    i.e. No. Of protons + no. Of neutrons
    therefore, no. Of neutrons = 31 - 15 = 16
    no. Of neutrons in a phosphorus atom is 16
    thats why there are 16neutrons in it
