Where Is Andorra?

Andorra is a tiny country with an area of 468 sq km in Europe situated in the Pyrenees Mountains and bordered by France to the north and Spain to the south. Andorra is a principality governed jointly by the President of France and the Bishop of Urgell hailing from Catalonia in Spain who are addressed as the co princes of Andorra.

The country located in the eastern parts of the Pyrenees is a well known tourist destination on account of its natural beauty and scenic locations. The climate due to the higher altitude is relatively cool as compared due to the surrounding regions which has resulted in the setting up of a number of resorts in the area.

Andorra has been granted tax haven status which has helped the banking sector in the country. The population of Andorra according to the 2004 census is 69,150 with a density of 152 per sq km.
