    Customer care refers to the process of looking after customers. Customer satisfaction is the aim of customer care. It is for the assistance of the customers and involves a set of behaviours regarding the interaction to customers. Customer care has gained a lot of importance in the recent years due to globalisation and the phenomenon of enlightened customers. Yet it is an old concept that has its roots in the crafts man economy in 1800s when they competed with each other to fulfil the demand of the customers.

    The key to successful customer care is the knowledge about their wants and needs. It can be gained through extensive market research. Higher sales, recognition, better credibility, customer loyalty, higher awareness of your brand or product are some of the advantages of effective customer care.
