    Glastonbury is an annual festival that attracts the attention of lacks of people ever year and there is no doubt that this is one of the most awaited festivals. In the year 2005 there were over 385 performances and the festival was attended by a crowd of 150,000.

    Glastonbury, the abbreviation of Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts is considered to be the largest among those festivals that held to showcase performing arts as well as some greenfield music. Circus, dance, comedy, cabaret and theater are also an attractive part of this festival, though it is very famous for its contemporary music.

    The free festival movement that took place in the year 1970 was the Isle of Weight Festival. The hippy ethics too play an important role in setting up this festival as Glasto, is highly influenced by these events.
