What Other Ways Are There To Make Money From Writing Besides Writing A Novel?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

There are many other ways to make money from writing. You could write short stories for a living, for example. You can also get paid for writing reviews and blogs for some company. If you don't wish to write a novel, then you could always write magazine articles. Some magazines pay up to £10 per 100 words for articles.

Other types of writing include screen writing (writing for film and television), or you could write for radio. Perhaps if you are any good at poetry then you write some and attempt to get it published in an anthology.

To give you an idea of how to make money from writing, try Michael Legat's 'Writing for Pleasure and Profit', which includes a wealth of information and tips on all areas of writing.  The book also informs you about what rewards you can receive from writing and how to prepare your manuscript.
