What Is A Dog?

Dogs are mammal which are from the Canidae family for instance wolves, foxes and coyotes. They have four legs and are mostly used as watch dogs or for hunting purposes. It is a very loyal and loving animal.

In the US most dogs are companion animals.  My husband and I have two and they are better friends than most people!  We take them everywhere with us.  One is large, a Catahoula Leopard Dog/Golden Retriever/Collie mix, and the other medium size one is a schnauzer/jack Russel mix.  They each have their own fans at the many hotels we stay in when we travel.  With all the staff coming to say goodbye, it takes almost an hour to check out!

They are sometimes used for watch dogs or are used to hunt foxes. They are pets and can be loyal and freindly but sometimes can be very dangerous and bite.
