Is A Resort Same As A Hotel

Answer Question

Resort is same as hotel in some respects but Hotel provides a lot more facilities than resort.

Resort is the place where people go for recreation and vacations and it provides accommodation and entertainment.

A hotel is place which provides you good food, accommodation, state of the art facilities, restaurant, a swimming pool, child care, meeting rooms and conference services etc.

Yes and No. A hotel is typically a place where you would stay when you have other places around the town to visit. A resort is a place where you would stay for the entire length of time. The resort has much more to offer such as a spa, possibly a golf course, beach front. It is my experience, as apposed to the lost responder, that each offer the basics - swimming pool, restaurant, meeting rooms etc. But the resort is more a recreational environment.

A hotel and a resort are essentially the same except that a resort offers more amenities and facilities. A resort might have a spa, a tennis court or golf facilities, a waterpark etc. A hotel offers mostly rooms and food and beverage facilities.

If you are interested in seeing photos of resorts, visit hotel brands like Marriott, St Regis, Mandarin, etc. If you are interested in working in hospitality jobs (hotels, restaurants, airlines) visit the hospitality superstars website at www.hsuperstars.com
