The North Sydney Exhibition Grounds is located on this street. North Sydney is situated on the north side of the Sydney Harbor. It is a famous port in Atlantic Canada.

    The Marine Atlantic ferry service has its western terminus in North Sydney. It also functions as the marine link from Newfoundland to the Trans Canada Highway. Marine Atlantic has ferries that travel to Argentia and Port Aux Basques form the terminal in North Sydney. The company provides plenty of employment in this area. North Sydney was a thriving port and town in the beginning of the nineteenth century and by 1870 it became the fourth largest port in Canada to deal with ocean bound vessels.
