Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

A labor union, is when the employees are part of a group, so that if there are disputes, the union will take it upon themselves to resolve.  Unions also prevent an employee being fired for no reason and gives them rights.  As well, should a company go on strike, conflict in what employees want to be paid and employers want to pay them, many unions will give an allowance to its members.  Sort of like paying into an insurance. All, many unions, depending on the type will have social activities for its workers, such as company picnics, sometimes the union will pay for a Xmas party etc.  Basically unions, are united workers, to protect and give security to employees
