The mechanic said they usually replace the water pump while they are doing the job because there is some much to take out....he quoted me a price of $350 for the job with replacing the water pump, also. Thanks

Well it cost about $150 to $200 varying according to quality of the timing belt so you can change your timing belt through some mechanic that is charging $350 from you for water pump. You can negotiate for about $300 so that you can easily fix your timing belt.
