How Will My Vet Test My Dog For White Shaker Dog Syndrome?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

"White Shaker Syndrome" is known medically as idiopathic (unknown cause) Tremor Syndrome.  It causes inflammation of the central nervous system that is responsive to steroids.  It is commonly noted in small breeds with white hair coats.
Other causes of neurological disease should be ruled out via bloodwork and imaging studies.  The next step is having a cerebral spinal fluid tap performed.  A case is built ruling out other causes of neurological disease.
