Lutheranism refers to the evangelical movement started by Martin Luther. It was a Christian movement that led to change the practices of the Roman Catholic Church around the 16th century. Later it split into Protestant Reformation and then to Protestantism. So, there were two groups who were kind of against each others rites and rituals, the Roman Catholics and the Protestants. They believed and stressed a lot on Baptism and the Eucharist. It believes in the doctrine of justification of grace through faith and that Jesus actually exists. Lutheranism is widely spread around the world with more than 18,000 evangelical churches in U.S.A.
