My 8 Month Old Female Cat Constantly Licks Herself?
I don't know if her doing that caused the problem. Her butt area is all red and she has this yellowish discharge. Also she seems to have trouble breathing. Always wheezes

Wow, this kitty has more than one problem. As for the licking, you don't say where she licks. Is it all over or only in her butt area? I have a 12 yr old female Siamese that licks (she tries to anyway) and plucks the hair out of an area on her back...the part she can reach! She gets a bald spot back there, the hair grows back...and she starts all over again. I finally figured out that it is very "itchy" in that area, so I got her a very stiff bristled kitty brush that I must use daily, especially in that area.
The problems your kitty has with the red butt and yellow discharge sounds like it needs a trip to the vet. I know how expensive vets are; sometimes you can get them to tell you on the phone what it might possibly be. Hope this helps, I have 3 elderly Siamese.

I used to have a tabby cat that would lick him self all the time. It could be a sign of ocd like people have but i would not worry to much if you have a tabby they do that more then other cats.
