Yeah, I wouldn't trust him that easily. I mean, you have literally known each other for A DAY and now he suddenly wants you over at his house? I don't like where this is going. I think you did a good thing by inviting him to the mall with your friends. For now, just keep it at that. Maybe once you get to know each other more at work, than you can hang out more.

I agree if he just wanted to hang out with you going to the mall with you and your friends wouldn't be a prob. But he might just want that one thing or he might just feel more comfortable around people he knows.
I agree with the others. Take this very slow and be careful. If you feel uncomfortable with the situation do not pursue it.
