    How Long Is Recovery Time After A Total Hysterectomy?

    I've had a total hysterectomy, hernia repir, appendectomy and removal of scar tissues. As a post surgery complication I've got a blood clot in my lungs and is on a blood thinner. How long will be the recovery time to get back to work.What are the do not things for me like lifting, driving and how long?

    You forgot to mention what your work is or how old you are or how much damage was caused by the blood clot or how much scar tissue was removed from where or why you think your doctor's instructions need to be backed up by blurtit but I'd guess you will be on restricted activity for several weeks (more than a month).

      Six weeks is the usual recovery time for a hysterectomy. I just had one a couple months ago. There can still be pain up to six months later. As far as your other surgeries this can cause the recovery time to be longer. Your doctor should be able to give you an estimate on the time it will take; however, not everyone recovers at the same rate. You may need to ask the doctor for an extension on going back to work.
