What Are The Five Orders Of Architecture?

The five most primordial to the richest and most willowy orders of architecture are Tuscan (Roman) and Doric (Greek and Roman, illustrated here in its Roman version); Ionic (Greek version) and Ionic (Roman version); Corinthian (Greek and Roman) and composite (Roman). In early years however, there were only three orders considered.

They were namely the Doric, Ionic and Corinthian, which was a complete invention by the Greeks. It was only in later years that the roman came up with two other orders which were the Tuscan (this was something that was much simpler in comparison to the Doric) and the second one added was the Composite (this was something that was more ornamental). The Tuscan is considered as the Doric in its initial circumstances, and the Composite is considered the Corinthian, which is enriched with the Ionic.
