Nepal is a landlocked country located in the northern Indian subcontinent. It lies in south centre of Asia. The Peoples Republic of China is to its north and the Republic of India to its South. It is an elongated country with India on both the narrow east and west ends as well.

Nepal or the Kingdom of Nepal which currently has a transitional government is in the midst of a constitutional crisis where the future of the monarchy is being decided between Maoist and democratic parties. It is the only Hindu country in the world but this may not last if the Maoists decide to go secular. Nearly eighty per cent of Nepal's population is Hindu.

Kathmandu is the capital of the Himalayan kingdom and is located near the centre of Nepal.
Nepal has a population of slightly over twenty seven million. The country depends chiefly on tourism as the mountainous country has some of the most picturesque scenery and natural beauty possible.

Hi there! It’s in Asia, on the North East of India and it has a border with China. The country is often devastated by earthquakes and other natural calamities and the population is hence pretty poor. However, the place is still very beautiful and you will certainly enjoy a visit there.
