    Well it depends on how big of a coop you want. If you are just building a small one then all you need are 2x2 wood, chicken wire and hinges and a door latch. Build it big enough for the amount of chicks you want and just build the frame and cover it with the wire, leaving an opening for the door. Put a roost on there for them to roost on and if they are big hens, maybe a nest to lay eggs in.
