Is This This Normal For A First Time Mother Cat?

Kit is a good mother, but the problem is she wants me to sit on the bed next to the kittens and her the whole time. If I move or leave the room Kit meows all the time until I go and sit back on the bed. Kit will also bring one kitten one the bed and feed it right in my lap.
