What Is Wrong With My Truck?

When I was shifting from 3rd to 4th gear, my truck made a weird thud sound and began shaking. It has been shifting a little rough from 3rd to 4th all week.

Sounds like a bad bearing in the trans, but the shaking is unusual for that...I am sure you have checked the fluid level..  Have you checked the rubber on the transmission mount,  and the U-joints? Either could cause the noise and the vibration.

Yes if its a hydraulic clutch check fluid u may have to bleed it.do u shift hard crawl under it crab the drive shaft both hands and twist back and fourth if it moves replace the universal joints.check what is called the yoke it is the short piece that slides over the sline at the rear of the trans.it may have cracked when u herd that thud.and check the trans support mount.
