How Do You Paint Furniture?

Choose a work-area for painting the furniture and take care that it is well ventilated place. The furniture should be kept on a piece of rag or old newspaper. Then use sandpaper and remove all the old paint or polish. Take adequate safety precautions like goggles, mask and gloves. Remove the residue of saw dust with a mop or a damp piece of waste cloth but take care as to not wet the wood.
Then apply a coat of primer. Then add the first coat of paint and allow it to dry. See that it is even on all sides and that it is done in the same direction. Now add the second coat and leave it overnight. Check for any shortcomings in the morning and try to change it. Add the finishing touches. Your furniture is ready for reuse and as good as new.
