Can Anyone Explain The Usage Of 'Either'?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

'Either' means 'one of'. For example, "For pudding I shall have either a yoghurt or some grapes". I shall have a yoghurt or some grapes but not both.

'Neither' means 'not either', or 'not one of'. For example, "I'd like pudding but I like neither yoghurt nor grapes". I dislike both yoghurt and grapes.
