NAACP is known as National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. It is one of the oldest and most powerful United States social rights organizations. In year 1905 group of 32 African Americans outspoken gathered to talk about the challenges facing by colored people (who are not white) in the U.S. The group came to be recognized as the Niagara Movement. In May 1910 members chose the name the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. The NAACP was established on 12 February 1909 by a different people composed of

The NAACP is operational countrywide by a 64-member board of directors and escorted by a chairman. The board selects a president and chief executive for the organization. Now in year 2007 the NAACP has roughly 400,000 members working for civil rights.
