What Is The Best Way Of Remembering Character Names And Places If I'm Creating A Series Of Books?

Answer Question

The best way to remember names, places or plot details is to get yourself some folders to store your notes in and store the folder somewhere where you will be able to easily find it.

Alternatively, you could use separate folders for places and names etc, so that you don't have to spend ages looking through notes.

If you are not writing out your novels first but rather typing them straight onto the computer, then create folders where you can drop any details for all your books into. If you do decide to do this though, then make sure you create back up copies for each folder. Save all your details for your books onto disc in case any of your work is lost.

If you are using notepads to write down all your storylines, names and places etc then clear out a drawer and place the notepads in there so that they will be easy to reach should you need to refer back to something.
