How Many Animals Are In Bronx Zoo?

The Bronx Zoo is home to about 843 animals and 22 exhibits. It is located in the Bronx Park in the borough of the Bronx, New York City, U.S.A. It is one of the most famous zoos in the world. It was opened on November 8, 1999. The original aim of establishing a zoo in New York City was to advance the study of zoology, educate the public and protect wildlife.

The Bronx Zoo has one of the largest collections of endangered species in the world. It has areas which simulate the conditions found in the central African jungle, the African Plains and the wild forests of Asia. The Bronx Zoo's most popular attractions are the Congo Gorilla Habitat, the Wild Asia Tramway and Jungleworld. The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) owns and manages the Bronx Zoo and other nature parks in New York City, including the Central Park Zoo, the Queens Zoo, the Prospect Park Zoo and the New York Aquarium.
