    DNA stands for deoxyribonucleic acid. DNA is the hereditary material in humans and almost all other organisms. There are four chemical bases in DNA which helps in formation of code that serves as the information stored in that D.N.A. The name of those four chemical bases are adenine (A), guanine (G), cytosine (C), and thymine (T). Human DNA consists of about 3 billion bases, and more than 99 percent of those bases are the same in all people.
