Do I Need A Draft Hood?
I am installing a Pennco boiler and it has nothing in the literature about installing a draft hood. It doesn't have a fan.

I would follow the instructions supplied with the boiler. If you are not real sure and for safety purposes I would also give the supplier of the unit a call.

Thank you, I will
After further on site investigation I realized the front of the boiler has an air scoop which acts as a draft hood. I talked to an experienced tech and found out that some boilers incorporate the draft hood in that way. It's interesting, you can put your hand up into the front of the boiler and reach into the vent.
I am glad you got that resolved, better safe than sorry and you may have helped someone else out on here with the same problem. Thanks for the response.
