In terms of the area covered, the Bailiwick of Jersey ranks 219th among the countries of the world.

    According to the census of population in the year 2001, the population of the Bailiwick of Jersey was estimated to be approximately 87, 186. The census of population in the month of December 2005 estimated the population of Jersey to be approximately 88, 200. In terms of the population, Jersey ranks 198th among the countries of the world.
