How Do You Know If Your Thermostat In Your Car Is Going Bad?
My car the temperature hand keeps moving up and the cheat has stopped working does this mean that the thermostat is going bad.

More than likely, yes. First make sure your antifreeze is full. Otherwise take your car to a mechanic. Unless you know how to take your thermostat out. If you do, then take it out and put it in a pot of almost boiling water. If you see it open up, then it's fine. If not, you need to replace it.

You can pull the thermostat off the vehicle and put it in boiling water, if the valve closes the thermostat is good, if it doesn't close it is bad. What this does is simulates a vehicle reaching its hot point, and telling the thermostat to open up to allow the coolent to flow.
