Scientists Clone for many reasons, personal gain, fame, or to duplicate things like food, What most people dont know is that cloning is in everyday life,  did you know that potatoes are mainly clones of each other, and in Holland there is mass flower growers, and most of those flowers are produced from one bud, but has been cloned. So as you can see clone is a HUGE section of reasons for cloning BUT the research for cloning is limited due to funds and without those funds research is limited and Cloning can't be used as an effective technique for producing thing's. The main majority of people against cloning are religious people who believe it was gods will for people not to clone. But we live in a world which has many religions and if you look at it in a view of NO religion then cloning will seem right, because what people forget is cloning is not just about sheep, or people but vegetables and NATURAL cloning happens all the time like in some species of bee's, ants and other animals. It is just a matter of survival that cloning happens. Scientists produce Clones only to improve techniques and to improve life of others and themselves. I hope the answer i have provided has helped you (BTW im only 15 so be nice on mistakes i have made)
