Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Emancipation means to set free, to allow a being the full status and rights of the citizens of a country. As when the slaves were emancipated during the civil war, and were then free to do as they wished within the boundaries of the laws every other citizen was allowed. When a child or teen is emancipated, they are freed from the control of their parents and can move, or act as they wish within the society as a whole.
