What Should You Do When A Mother Rejects Their Kitten?

Answer Question

That depends on how old they are.  If they are still nursing, then you need to bottle feed them, which you can get the bottles and the formula at your local pet store.  Also you can get a cardboard box, lay some old towels or something soft for bedding and also think about adding a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel to act as "Mothers" warmth. A little stuffed animal  to snuggle with at night would be ok.  You will also need to help them go potty, you can do that by taking toilet paper and wetting it with warm water and then gently "massage" their bottoms to make them pee and poop.  I hand raised two kittens this way and they just celebrated their 2nd birthday!!!

You need to take them both to the vet to make sure it wasn't a medical problem with one or both that caused it like the many infections involved with pregnancy, whelping, and nursing and then they can teach the proper way to bottle feed (you can kill them if done wrong) if needed. Maybe they just need some help and kittens are healthier and better cats when raised by mom.
