    A Database is basically a collection of data which is stored in a computer in a structured manner. A database model is utilized for organization of such data and its structuring. There are many different types of these models such as relational model, hierarchical model and network model etc.


    On the other hand, a DBMS or Database Management System is a software which is used for management of different databases. A DBMS makes use of these structural models and implement them on their networks. The structure of a Database is provided by the DBMS. It has helped in storage and retrieval of data.
