My hamsters left hip and leg are very swollen, It is not warm to the touch, so I don't think it is infected. It's not hard either. Could something have bit it like a spider, etc.?

Examine thoroughly the leg and hip area of you hamster and look for any cut, injury or growth. If every thing is OK then it might be the insect bite especially mosquito or spider. Take you hamster to hamster vet for proper diagnosis and most appropriate treatment.
