Who Is Richard Hinds?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Richard Hinds is a British professional footballer born in Sheffield on 22nd August 1980. He is a tall, fair-headed defender who began his career at Tranmere Rovers, making a name for himself in the club's youth academy. After 51 appearances at the Merseyside club, he was transferred to struggling League Two side Hull City. It was here that he significantly developed his career, helping The Tigers in achieving their first of two successive promotions in 2003/4 season. He made 48 appearances, scoring in one of them.

But in 2004/5 season, he struggled for a first team place under manager Peter Taylor. Despite showing promise - including the ability to attack from the right wing as well as defend - at an away match verses Doncaster Rovers, he was shortly after put on loan at Scunthorpe United and has since signed for them on a permanent basis, featuring regularly in the first team.
