How Do I Get Rid Of Ear Infection?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Well there isnt alot you can do to get "rid" of an ear infection, besides medication. It is an infection in your ear. In children, it is very important to adress this as soon as possible. Mutliple ear infections in children that go untreated can lead to hearing loss. Scar tissue tends to form, thus hearing loss from the ear infection. If you are unable to get into a doctor, I would  reccomend a warm compress to the effected ear, ear drops and some tylenol for pain.  If you are not totally sure its an ear infection it could also be ear wax as well? Or some sudafed might help with ear popping or anything like that.. Hope this helps!!!

Up to 60% of all Ear Infections are "Viral" which means that Ant-Biotics will not work as Anti-Biotics are only good on Bacterial Infections.

My daughter had 12 ear infections her first 18 months of life, Rounds and round of anit-botics and then finally my MD wanted to put tubes in her ears! ...and that's is when I decided to seek out a Chiropractor. After just 8 Adjustments to her upper neck area her ear infections went away. She is now 4 years old and hasn't had once since.
