Mark Twain wrote many books, short stories and essays, there really isn't any way to get an accurate count as he used a nom d'plume for many of his works, they are still finding things he has written. Actually books that he has written are Life on the Mississippi, Roughing It, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, A Horse's Tail, Huckleberry Finn, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, The Prince and the Pauper, The Tragedy of Pudd'Nhead Wilson and a bunch of other short stories. So that makes 8 full stories that he has written, I believe the rest are considered short stories and essays and a few poems.
