It depends...DSi can take pics, go online, download music...but DSi has no GBA slot so you would need both to play all your games. Unless you have no GBA games

Dsi has a camera and ds lite doesn't. Dsi does not have a GBA slot but ds lite does. And dsi can enter to the internet and ds lite can so if you like to play gba games the ds lite is better but if you like going on the internet and video taping games then you will like the dsi better plus the dsi is better graphics.
