Many jobs have height requirements. For instance, it used to be that a female police officer here was required to me a minimum of 5'5" to even enter the academy. This has a lot to do with being the right size, especially in stewards, to easily access emergency exits and being able to be strong enough to help passengers out. This has changed however as many places have changed such physical requirements due to it being discrimination
