United Arab Emirates is situated in eastern Arabian Peninsula. United Arab Emirates is a federation of seven states. The emirates that made the country are Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Umm al-Qaywayn, Ajman, Ras al-Khaymah and Al-Fujayrah. The total area of United Arab Emirates is estimated almost 83,600 square kilometers. Abu Dhabi is the capital of the country. There are a large number of Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Iranian migrant workers in the total population of the country.

Arabic is the official language of United Arab Emirates, but English, Persian, Urdu and Hindi are used widely. Islam is the official religion of the country, but Christianity and Hinduism are also seen. The currency of the Arab Emirates is UAE dirham.

Hajar Mountains along the Musandam Peninsula broke the low-laying desert plain of the country. Along the Gulf of Oman, three natural deepwater harbors are placed. The United Arab Emirates has large deposits of natural gas. The one-tenth of world's petroleum is reserved in this country.

The production of petroleum and natural gas are the major industries of United Arab Emirates. Fishing, livestock herding and date production are the other significant activities of the country.
