Why Is The Bible So Boring?

I wonder why the bible seems boring to you. It has so many stories about floods, wars, murders, trials & tribulations. There is so much packed in those 66 books written by authors in a large span of time and all comes together and flows with a continuity that is remarkable. Maybe its the version of the bible that you are trying to read that makes it boring. Give it another try, using another version that does not use archiac thees and thous, and you might enjoy the greatest story ever told.

Because people doesn't have interest in it. If you love the lord and want to be closer to him. The bible is the answer.

The reason why the Bible is boring to you is beacause you need the Spirit of God to understand His mysteries and relevant truths. Cain and Abel? Sinner and Saint. Most sinners despise or can't handle when someone they know is doing right or better than they and start to boil, which would be Cain. Unaware or aware, the saint strives to please God at ALL TIMES and with everything they have to offer. The sinner, which is Cain, then attacks the saint, which is Abel, who diligently does what God requires and then some and then you have sinner vs. Saint. WOW!! All that in a few verses from Genesis. The bible has way more to offer and you can read something 20 times and get 20 different relevant things from it. Salut!!

I would like to add to the first answere which was very good! Are you truly saved? According to Romans 10:9,10,11? If you are have you acknowledged the Holy Spirit in your life and do you understand who He is according to John 14: 16,17,20,26? First of all He is a person, He will lead and guide you into all truth! He is your comeforter! Your stand by. He also when you read the bible gives you understanding not everything at once but what you need at the time. The Heavenly Father has sent Him to you through Jesus. Talk to Him ask Him to teach you, He loves to know that you need Him to help you thats why He was sent to you. His purpose is to help you to understand the Living Word, thats what the Bible is, it is Gods own Words to us.And as you grow in understanding you will soon begin to see that Christ is all through the old testament in type form such as the Ark! Christ is the Ark in the new testament! When Abraham was going to sacrifice his only son and a lamb was in the thickit Christ is the Lamb in the new and so on! Christ was there at Creation when God said let us!! As you ask the Holy Spirit to enlighten you then you will begin to love the Word, Proverbs gives you Godly wisdom, Psalms, hope! Its not that its so boring...but u just need to right place to look and the right kind of bible to get..god ain't boring but some books in there you don't understand just yet..

The Bible is only boring to those who are disconnected to God
