In What Liquid Does Ice Cube Melt Faster?

Answer Question

5 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Ice is nothing more than frozen water. Water is a very polar molecule and so is NaCl ( common table salt). Salt also has the ability to melt ice as salt has a lower freezing point than water. Therefore I would melt an ice cube the fastest in a glass of warm salt water.

      Water!
It melts the best in a substance that it already IS, but in a different form.
      Also, temperature affects it.
Example, cold water wont make it melt very fast and hot water will speed up the process.
DUH! I cant believe that you didnt know that?! ...
