    Government is a system of rules and laws. It is the institution in charge of the governing of a place, state or country. Thus it is a user group who is in control of the direction of a country, place or state. It has the powers to make and enforce laws. Thus it means to administrate over an area of land, people or an association. Government is a word that emerged from the Greek word kybernon, a word indicating to steer. It is related to the executive function of the state.

    There are different forms of government like Autocracy, Democracy, Monarchy, Despotism, Dictatorship etc. Every government is concerned with areas of human activity like medicine, trade and commerce.

    According to Aristotle, there were six forms of government: monarchy, aristocracy, oligarchy, tyranny, democracy and constitutional republic. Just for completeness' sake, the USA is a constitutional republic rather than a democracy, as is often popularly said.
